About Quoridor.online

A browser-based place to play Quoridor and learn how the game works.

Our purpose

Quoridor.online exists to give people a simple place to play Quoridor and learn how it works. Quoridor is easy to explain and rewarding to think about, but it can be hard to try if you don't own a set or have someone to play with. A browser is all you need here.

We also want to help new players get started and improve. That is why the site pairs the game with plain-language guides, instead of leaving you to work out the rules alone.

What you can do here

You can play Quoridor in your browser, and read up on it whenever you like.

Ways to play

  • Play online. Play against another person after choosing a display name. No registration is needed.
  • Private rooms. Invite a specific friend with a link or a short pairing code.
  • Play against the computer. Practice at Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert difficulty.
  • Play on one device. Two players share a screen and take turns on the same board.

Ways to learn

Our approach

  • Accessible. The game runs in your browser with nothing to install and no account, on phones, tablets and computers.
  • Clear. A clean board, plain wording and rules that are explained in full rather than assumed.
  • Straightforward. You choose how to play and start. We only describe a feature as available once it works.

An independent project

Quoridor.online is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the designer or publisher of the Quoridor board game. Quoridor was designed by Mirko Marchesi and published by Gigamic, and we credit them as the source of the game. The game rules described here are those of the standard two-player game, and the guides and software on this site are our own work.

If you enjoy the game and would like a physical set, it is available from its publisher and from game retailers.
